UCPI intended to add a casting workshop to its activities. The purpose was to produce gold, silver or copper base castings for jewellery, art and ornamental foundry work.

Sizes of cast pieces range between 1 cm to 30 cm and represent almost the full range of pieces produced for jewellery, goldsmiths, art and ornemental foundry work.

Even if it is mainly a production workshop, the facility is also used to carry out the daily tests on the plaster mixes and investments produced by UCPI and gives immediate critical feedback so as to allow any necessary last-minute adjustments and to guarrantee constant levels of quality to our end-users.

This is a guarantee of consistent quality for our products that we can supply to end users.

This control on a large scale basis is complementary to controls already carried out in our laboratory on the raw materials and on already produced batches of investments.

Furthermore, the investment mixing machines and the casting machines are exploited daily in this workshop which gives UCPI a real scale test of these machines and therefore the assurance for customers of the strength and efficiency of the machines sold by UCPI.

Thanks to this workshop, UCPI is engaged in advising and if necessary helping its customers with their castings in total discretion. It is so much easier to solve technical problems directly between specialists, around the machines and the cast metal.

Nowadays, the sale of products is much more than marketing. UCPI is well aware of this and for many years has developed alongside its principal activities : consultancy, service and technical assistance.

• UCPI's foundry is able to cast gold, silver and copper based alloys castings from smaller jewellery pieces to 25 cm high ornemental castings.
